Ada L. Chandler, 89, of Acworth, died Friday, March 23, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Wade Davis, the Rev. Gerald McPherson, and the Rev. Rex Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of Acworth, Mrs. Chandler was employed at Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta during WW II. She was a retired employee of Union Carbide and was then employed by the Cobb County Board of Education. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Avritt and Sheila Asher, both of Acworth; granddaughters, Darlene Moss of Woodstock, April Kinsey of Dalton, and Amy Cox of Acworth; great grandchildren, Kimberly Dobbins of California, Katherine Travis and Austin Robinson, both of Woodstock, Chandler Feralin and Brody Kinsey both of Dalton; great grandchildren, Jessin Dobbins and Jonah Travis, both of Dalton; sisters, Aleatha Hale of Emerson and Helen Cox of Acworth; several nieces and nephews; Online condolences may be expressed at www.collinsfuneralhome.org.
