Charlie W. Blankenship

Charlie Wayne Blankenship, 73, of Kennesaw died Sunday February 3, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2pm in the Chapel of First Baptist Church Woodstock in building A. Rev. Tim Vaughn of Life Church in Athens, GA. and Rev. Scott White of First Baptist Church Woodstock will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service. Mr. Blankenship was a 1957 graduate of Tullahoma High School in TN and he worked with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company in TN and GA. He was a current member of First Baptist Church Woodstock. He had served as a Deacon at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN. He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Winchester, TN. He was a private pilot and an avid hunter. He was a member of Roswell Photographic Society and loved photography. He was also a member of the Tennessee National Guard. Mr. Blankenship was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Walter Jones and Lela Stephens Blankenship; half- brother, Jay L. Burrow; half-sister, Winifred Burrow and Niece Ann Haynes. He is survived by his wife Charlotte R. Blankenship; Daughter, Charlene J. Cunningham; Son, C. Wayne (Regina) Blankenship, Jr. of Winchester, TN; Brother, Clifford J. (Linda) Blankenship of Winchester, TN; Grandchildren, Mindy Nicole Blankenship and Amy Brooke (Johnny) Kildoo, both of Winchester, TN; Great Granddaughter, Paislee Rayne Kildoo of Winchester, TN; Step Great Grandson, Kason Gage Kildoo of Winchester, TN; Great Nephew, James Anderson and Great Niece, Vicky Carder. In Lieu of flowers, interested parties may honor Charlie’s life by making contributions to Bill and Bev. Smith, who are Missionaries in Bolivia, at www.SouthAmericaMissions.org.
